Baby book app and pregnancy journal for couples, ready to print
Best for couples who want a baby book written as it happens, not pieced together months later: one question a week, and each of you answers in your own words, together or on your own. It ends as a print-ready A5 PDF you can take to any printer.
In short
- Each week has a question, and each parent writes their own half beside the other’s.
- Photos, the birth, month pages up to three years and the milestones go in with it.
- It exports as a print-ready A5 PDF, made on our server, that any printer can bind.
- Your words stay yours: reading and exporting the Book never sit behind the subscription.
How do two voices work?
Every week of the pregnancy and the first years comes with a question, such as what being ready means to you. Each of you answers on your own phone, in your own time, and the two answers sit side by side, each under its writer’s name. A week can have one voice or two.
What goes into the printed book?
The weeks with both your words and up to four photos each; the birth page with the time, weight and your notes; a page for each month up to three years; the milestones with your notes; and, if you want them, a foreword, the diary and a few counts from your log. You choose the parts: the pregnancy, the first year, the toddler years, or all of it.
Does Iris write my book?
No. The weekly words are yours alone. Iris can draft two things you then edit: a foreword, written only from the words of parents who agreed to Iris reading them, and each month’s page, in your voice, “we” or “I” if you are on your own.
What it does not do
- It does not translate your words. They print in the language you wrote them in.
- It holds up to four photos on a page.
- Month pages stop at three years.
- It does not print or post the book for you.
Questions parents ask
Can one of us write alone?
Yes. Each half is written on its own, so a week can carry one voice or two, and a parent on their own writes the whole Book in their voice.
Do I lose the Book if I stop paying?
No. Reading and exporting what you wrote stay open without a subscription. Writing new pages is what the subscription covers.
Can I make a book for each child?
Yes. When a family has more than one child, the PDF is made for the child you choose.
Can I print the book?
Yes. In the app you choose the parts (the pregnancy, the first year, the toddler years, or all of it) and download one A5 PDF, laid out to be bound as a book. Take it to any print shop or online printer you like. We do not print or post it ourselves.
What does it cost?
One subscription for the whole family, Iris included: £4.99 a month or £49.99 a year. The first month is free, and you can cancel at any time.
