How is a due date counted?
From the first day of the last period, 280 days. From a conception date, the same count, which places conception two weeks after that day. From an IVF transfer, the count goes back to conception by the embryo’s age: 3 or 5 days. The result is an estimate; the date your midwife or doctor gives is the one to keep.
