A pregnancy app without ads that never sells your data

For families who want a pregnancy and baby app without ads, and without their data for sale. This page says what Syncry does keep, where it lives and who can see it, in plain words.

In short

  • No ads, no advertising trackers, no third-party analytics, no fingerprinting.
  • Nothing is sold or shared with data brokers.
  • Your family’s database and photos are stored in London, and the database lets no other family read them. The founders’ admin screen shows names, emails and usage, never your entries.
  • You can export everything in Settings, without asking us, and delete your family there too. If you share it, your partner approves first.

And in the Android app?

The same: no adverts and no advertising trackers. If you turn notifications on in the Google Play app, Google’s messaging service delivers them; it receives your phone’s notification address and the notification itself, which only says what kind of update it is unless you switch on “Show details”.

Where is my data, and who can see it?

Syncry’s database and files are stored by Supabase in London, and the app runs on Vercel in London. Only your family can read your family’s data: you, and a partner if you invite one; the database enforces it on every read and write. Photos open through links that expire after an hour. Some providers work outside the UK and the EU, Anthropic for Iris among them, under the safeguards the GDPR requires.

Does Iris read what I write?

Only after you say yes, on a screen that tells you what is sent and to whom. Each parent answers for themselves: until your partner says yes, nothing they write reaches Iris. Anthropic, which runs Iris, uses what is sent only to write the reply, does not train its models on it and deletes it within 30 days, unless its safety systems flag a message, which it may keep for up to two years. You can pause Iris or withdraw at any time in Settings.

Can I take my data with me, or delete it?

Yes, yourself, in Settings, Your data. Export everything you can see as one file, with links to download your photos, and save the Book and the diary as PDFs. If you share the family, your partner approves first. Deleting your family schedules it for permanent removal after 30 days, and you can restore it until then; after that every record, photo and login is gone for good.

What we do collect

  • Your email address, and the names and details you type in about your family.
  • What you write and log: Book entries, moods, tasks, bags, the baby’s care logs after the birth, and the photos you upload.
  • The questions you ask Iris and her answers, once you have said yes to Iris.
  • How you found Syncry: your answer if you give one, and the source named in a link of ours you arrived through, only to count which places bring families.
  • Error reports, with your name, email, IP address and anything you wrote removed first; from your browser only if you accept error monitoring.
  • A notification address for each phone or browser where you turn notifications on.
  • Messages you send us, Iris answers you report, and, if you use the family circle, the names, hearts and comments of the people reading it.

Questions parents ask

Is there a pregnancy app without ads?

Yes. Syncry has no adverts, no advertising trackers, no third-party analytics and no fingerprinting, on the web and in the Android app alike.

Does Syncry sell my data?

No. Nothing is sold or shared with data brokers, and nobody measures you across the web. The host keeps a short-lived log of requests so a broken page can be spotted; it is not joined to your account.

Can my partner see everything I write?

Your partner sees what the family shares: the tasks, the bags, the Book and the baby log. Your private notes and your private Iris conversations stay yours, and your partner gives or refuses their own consent for Iris.

Who at Syncry can see my family’s data?

The two founders run Syncry from a private admin screen. It shows each family’s name, its members and their email addresses, how much the family uses Syncry, and anything a family sends us on purpose. It does not show your diary, moods, care logs, photos or conversations, and every action taken in it is logged.

Is it end-to-end encrypted?

No, and we say so. Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest and kept apart family by family, but the providers that host it can technically reach what they host. The privacy page names every one of them.

What does it cost?

One subscription for the whole family, Iris included: £4.99 a month or £49.99 a year. The first month is free, and you can cancel at any time.
